A Wall and a Hole
...and a hole in a wall.
The new shed is taking shape, actually since this photo was taken John has added the sheeting and the first wall we be finished once he adds the window and the "P.A.D" - or Personal Access Door - what a mouthful just for a door.
The heat, sickness and other jobs have prevented further progress, but he is getting there.
What once was a gas heater is now a hole in the wall. It will be wall again soon, hopefully before Christmas, if not I'll have to decorate it.
We had the electrician in to do a few little things, disconnect a heat transfer unit in the roof and fix a light switch as the wires were too short for John to do it himself. While he was here I asked him to remove 2 unused wall lights, we have been here 12 years and never used these ugly things. Anyway he had a look, then went back into the roof and came down with some very ugly taped together wiring. Seems lots of illegal wiring has been added on by the past owner(s). Mention of illegal, unsafe and a fire hazard so we asked him to go ahead and fix it all. He did as much as he could Monday and finished up on Tuesday afternoon - $561 all up. What started as a little job grew, but at least it is done.
The gas man was cheaper, but repairing the hole in the wall will be fun....for John.
Friday the airconditioning is going in all going well. Just in time too as it has been hot all week and we have more of the same coming.

What a hassle when you start a remodel job...always another expense pops up! But keep thinking of when it all gets done....how wonderful it will be!
