We're melting!!
Boy oh boy it is HOT!!! We have sweltered through the week, the past 2 days and nights being the worst. Friday and Saturday it reached 41 Celsius, which John tells me is about 105 F. It only went down 10 degrees overnight.
It is about this time every year when we lay in our hot bedroom that we say we really need to aircondition the whole house...not just the living area.
A decent sleep would make us all less grouchy.
Too late this summer already for airconditioning, but we will need to look at it come winter when prices are lower. We just need to remember in winter how hot we are in summer LOL.
The boys have finished school for the year. Next Friday we just have to go and return their text books and collect their report cards.
Simon has 2 Christmas parties to go to, so we get to play taxi. His band is playing at the second party, so that should be a fun experience for him and his friends.
It doesn't feel too Christmassy while we are sweltering and everything is so dry...we are in the midst of a drought too and on water restrictions, which are going to get even more restrictive on January 1st. So we will roast and watch the garden and lawns dry up and die, hoping for rain in winter.
